IPL 2024 Auction
The IPL 2024 auction took place in Dubai on December 19, 2023. Each of the 10 IPL teams operated under a salary cap of INR 100 crore for the 2024 season.
The total player pool for the auction was 333 players, with a maximum of 77 slots available to be filled by the 10 franchises. Of these, 30 were overseas players. There were a total of 214 Indian players, and 119 overseas – including two from Associate nations. There were 116 capped players and 215 uncapped with two from Associate nations.
The auction purse for each team was determined based on the list of players they retained and released. The highest reserve price was INR 2 crores, with 23 players choosing to be slotted in the highest bracket. 13 players were in the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crores.
